American Autowire 510347 Classic Update Wiring Harness 1973-82 Chevy/GMC Truck
American Autowire designed this 510347 Classic Update Wiring Harness for 1973-1982 Chevy and GMC Trucks. This kit is designed for projects that require more circuits than would have been available in an original chassis harness. It includes all the basics needed to rewire a vehicle from headlight to tail light, and will accommodate popular add-on items such as electronic fuel injection, aftermarket gauges and other common modifications.
This wiring kit features an updated ATC fuse panel, fuses, and modern GXL wire throughout, with wire functions labeled every 3 to 5 inches. The engine and front light harnesses come with extra long leads for custom routing and updated engine and transmission combinations. Rear body wiring features extra long leads for custom routing also.
The 175 amp mega fuse kit with a 6 gauge charge cable supports a high output charging system and internally regulated alternator. A six-way power accessory plug allows use as an additional power source for aftermarket accessories.
The pre-built dash harness features an exclusive gauge cluster connection system for use with stock or aftermarket instruments and easily connects to the 75 and up GM steering column connector. A mating connector and terminals come included for easy adaption to earlier GM or aftermarket columns. The gauge cluster circuit board connector and terminals are also included.
A headlight switch with 26 amp internal circuit breaker and a new floor dimmer switch also come included. Original-replacement connectors, terminals, lamp sockets as well as original style bulkhead connectors come as well.
