ACC Performance designed this Boss Hog 34044 Street Bandit Torque Converter for 1962-1973 GM Powerglide transmissions. This hand-built 9.6” converter has a stall speed of 3500-4200 RPM. It has been leak and pressure tested as well as digitally balanced. This converter comes highly recommended if you have upgraded intake, cylinder heads, headers, exhaust, cam, or gearing.
This converter is also one of the lightest on the market, for huge power gains through less rotational mass!
All Boss Hog torque converters are welded at the fins, not furnace brazed, eliminating erosion over time. They include industrial strength Torrington-type bearings that handle more torque than light duty needle bearings. Aircraft aluminum washers instead of inferior fiber washers ensure all power transfers directly to the ground.
