This AutoMeter 3788 Ultra-Lite 2-5/8” Pedestal 5,000 RPM Tachometer accurately displays your engine’s RPM for improved shift points. These gauges are in more winning vehicles than any other gauge on the market!
AutoMeter's race proven Air Core electrical tachometers provide quick as well as accurate readings with a needle so responsive it can go from 0 to full scale in 333 milliseconds. Traditional incandescent lighting illuminates around the front of the dial, and this gauge is 12 and 16 volt compatible, well-suited with nearly every street or race car electrical system.
Hooking up a tach on a diesel can be challenging due to the lack of an ignition system. AutoMeter makes the process incredibly easy by utilizing an inductive pickup. Simply attach the pickup to the outside of your alternator and calibrate with the rotary dial on the back of the tach!
Gauge kit includes alternator pickup, bulb and socket assembly, red and green bulb covers, mounting hardware as well as detailed instructions for installation.
