This BluePrint Engines G4548995 GM Long Block Crate Engine 454 Big Block is a 50 State Legal Replacement for 1989-1995 Chevy / GMC Vans originally equipped with a 7.4L engine. It comes with cast iron cylinder heads as well as a flat tappet camshaft. It also has OEM Spec Hypereutectic pistons, OEM Type Connecting Rods as well as a cast crankshaft, and features an OEM compression ratio.
BluePrint manufactures this engine using tighter machining tolerances, higher quality components as well as finer balancing of the rotating assembly. These extra steps make this engine better than the original while still meeting the description of a "replacement" engine.
This 4-Bolt Main engine includes valve covers, oil pan, as well as a timing cover. A mechanical fuel pump provision is also included, as well as a passenger side oil dipstick.
