Edelbrock designed this 61029 Oldsmobile Performer RPM Cylinder Head for 1965-76 400, 425 as well as 455 CID Oldsmobile engines with a hydraulic cam. It is a perfect performance upgrade for big-block Olds-powered street machines as well as muscle cars!
This aluminum head features a redesigned 77cc combustion chamber, larger intake valves and refined bowl blending for improved flow. Extra material has been added above the intake port for head work, with spark plug locations moved slightly towards the exhaust valve for optimized combustion.
Fully threaded inserts for the rocker studs and exhaust manifold bolt holes deliver strength as well as durability, and the machined valve cover rail produces an optimum gasket sealing surface.
This complete cylinder head includes guide plates, rocker studs, springs for hydraulic flat tappet cams, bronze valve guides, hardened seats, as well as high-quality stainless steel valves for direct bolt-on application.
