Holley 551-103 Sniper 2 Transmission Control Kit
Holley designed this 551-103 Sniper 2 Transmission Control Kit for common Ford and GM electronic 4 speed transmissions. This covers a complete range of applications, for all Sniper EFI systems, Sniper 2 EFI specific (M8 CAN connection), or a full standalone unit.
Sniper specific applications connect to your Sniper EFI system via CAN bus and programmed through your existing Sniper 3.5-inch touch screen. No programming is available with PC computer software, however the transmission functions can be data logged and reviewed with Sniper PC software. The Standalone version is primarily intended for carbureted engine combinations.
Ford and GM 4 speed electronic overdrive transmissions have the top gear being an overdrive. They all have a lockup torque converter that eliminates any slippage when the lockup applied. With a stock torque converter, only apply the lockup under light throttle conditions or excessive wear will occur.
Upshifts, downshifts, as well as torque converter lockup based on vehicle speed and throttle position (or optionally the MAP sensor) and adjustable with the 3.5-inch touch screen (not included).
