Howards Cams 91002 Chevy Variable Duration Hydraulic Race Lifters
Howards Cams designed these 91002 Variable Duration Hydraulic Race Lifters for Small and Big Block Chevy engines.
These lifters are an all-new design specifically made for race applications! They feature a high-grade tappet shell as well as close tolerance valving, and will work in Dart SHP blocks. They are great for all endurance applications including street use.
They provide more vacuum (up to 3 in.) in addition to maximum low-end torque, without sacrificing mid or top-end power. These lifters effectively lower cam duration by approximately 10 degrees, up to 3000 RPM.
Note: These lifters produce a mild ticking sound, similar to mechanical lifters. Pre-load setting for best performance is -.020”-.040”.
