Howards Cams designed these 91110 Ultra-Lite Direct Lube Mechanical Flat Tappet Lifters for Small and Big Block Chevy (including 348-409) engines. These lifters are 13-25 grams lighter than the Extreme Duty original versions. They also have a special high-grade endurance shell material for reliability.
A precision EDM laser-burned .021” hole in the center of the lifter face provides constant oil supply to the cam lobe. This allows for higher valve spring pressures, more aggressive profiles and reduced lobe wear.
