This Howards Cams CL112141-12S SBC Small Base Circle Hydraulic Flat Tappet Camshaft and Lifter Kit fits 262-400 cubic inch Small Block Chevy engines from 1955 to 1998. Howards designed this camshaft for street or strip use, and it features strong mid-range power, good throttle response and a fair idle. A 4-barrel carburetor, aftermarket/ported intake manifold, headers and a 2400+ stall speed torque converter are highly recommended.
Small Base Circle camshafts are recommended in stroker engines to provide adequate rod bolt clearance while the engine is rotating.
