MSD 85505 Pro-Billet Distributor W/ Locked-Out Timing for Chevy V8
MSD designed this 85505 Pro-Billet Distributor for Chevy small block as well as big block V8 engines. The housing is CNC-machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum to exact tolerances. For stability well over 10,000 RPM, a sealed ball bearing as well as a long-sintered bushing supports the .500" steel shaft.
This oversize shaft has a QPQ coating for friction reduction as well as resistance to corrosion. TIG-welded on top of this steel shaft, the mechanical advance mechanism can easily locked out for all out racing use! The supplied springs and stop bushings allow you to tune an advance curve to match your application.
Must be used with either an MSD 6, 7 or 8-series ignition.
