MSD 8572 Pro-Billet Distributor for Chevy Corvette
MSD designed this 8572 Pro-Billet Distributor for Chevy Corvette engines from 1963-1974. Included is a vacuum advance as well as a mechanical advance. The housing is CNC-machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum to exact sizes. For stability well over 10,000 RPM, a sealed ball bearing as well as a long-sintered bushing supports the .500" steel shaft.
This oversize shaft has a QPQ coating for reduced friction as well as resistance to wear and tear. The supplied springs and stop bushings allow you to tune an advance curve to match your application. The tach drive assembly is compact so that it clears the firewall as well as the linkage.
Must be used with either an MSD 6, 7 or 8-series ignition.
