Powermaster designed this 9451 Ultra High Speed Starter for 1965-1981 Pontiac and Oldsmobile V8 engines (except 301) using a 166 Tooth Flywheel that have up to an 15.0:1 compression ratio! With 25% more cranking speed, it is perfect for blown alcohol engines and engines using a Magneto, provides less kick backs, and is ideal for 12 or 16 volt systems.

The 3.75:1 gear reduction ratio on this mini starter supplies reliable cranking power, while the adjustable feature provides extra clearance.
