RAM designed this 98951 Powergrip Clutch Kit for 1999-2004 Ford Modular engines. This kit offers a good blend of drivability as well as performance. It includes a pressure plate, clutch disc, throwout bearing as well as an alignment tool.
As power levels exceed 500 horsepower, this clutch kit meets the challenge with a combination of organic as well as metallic disc friction surfaces, effectively increasing the clutch capacity to the 550 horsepower level. Additionally, this is equipped with polyurethane-encapsulated damper springs, and the 8-spring hub can handle three times the shock load of just the coil spring. They come standard in all RAM competition discs.
The SFI rated competition pressure plate provides 30% more clamp pressure than stock. At this high level of performance, this kit provides surprisingly good driving characteristics as well as smooth, comfortable driver control.
