This Comp Cams 01-600-8 BBC Thumpr Hydraulic Roller Camshaft fits the 454-502 Gen VI Big Block Chevy from 1996-1999. Comp designed this cam for high performance street/strip use, and it features strong low-end torque and a choppy/thumping idle. A 9.5:1 or higher compression ratio, gears, and a 2300+ stall speed torque converter are highly recommended.
