This Comp Cams 11-407-8 BBC Xtreme Energy Retro-Fit Hydraulic Roller Camshaft fits the 396-454 Big Block Chevy from 1967-1996. Comp designed this cam for street/strip use, and it features excellent mileage and strong torque through rpm range with a smooth idle. A 9.0:1 or higher compression ratio and a 1200+ stall speed torque converter are highly recommended.
