This Comp Cams 11-679-5 BBC XS290S Xtreme Energy Mechanical Flat Tappet Camshaft fits 396-454 cubic inch Mark IV Big Block Chevy engines from 1967-1996. Comp designed this cam for pro street/bracket racing, and it features strong mid-range torque & horsepower and has a rough idle. A 9.0:1+ compression ratio, good intake, headers, gears and a 3200+ stall speed torque converter are highly recommended.
