This Comp Cams 12-250-3 SBC XE284H Xtreme Energy Hydraulic Flat Tappet Camshaft fits the 262-400 Small Block Chevy from 1958-1998. Comp designed this cam for street/strip use, and it features good low-end torque and a rough idle. A 9.0:1 or higher compression ratio, headers & gears, and a 2700+ stall speed torque converter are highly recommended.
