This Comp Cams 42-600-5 Olds 279TH7 Thumpr Hydraulic Flat Tappet Camshaft fits the 260-455 Oldsmobile engines from 1967-1990. Comp designed this cam for high performance street/strip use, and it features good low-end torque and a choppy/thumping idle. A 9.0:1 or higher compression ratio, gears and a 2400+ stall speed torque converter are highly recommended.
